So many fanfics... so little time. This blog is dedicated completely to the Harry Potter books and all things of the Potterverse. The main purpose will be for recording, reviewing, and recommending Harry Potter fanfiction, and posting HP news; as I can never find a good fanfic a second time, I want to be able to keep up with what I read.
Like what you read? Got a fic you think I might enjoy? Email me, or post a comment -- and don't forget to review the fics for the authors!
In TOT's 'Patronus', Remus assigns his fifth year DADA classes an extra credit assignment: interview an Auror, and find out what kind of memories they call up when casting a Patronus charm. And naturally, Remus recommends Harry as a possible interviewee to one of his young Slytherin students.
The only problem is that Remus has neglected to consider what some of Harry's happiest memories might entail -- including the youngest Weasley.
Some great flashbacks, but the ending is the best. I can picture Harry and Remus having this discussion, and Ginny walking in... *lol*
Our first ever ship-wide chat has been scheduled for this Saturday, March 20th, at 12noon EST. The chat will take place at FictionAlley, so make sure you are a registered FA user. Come on out and engage yourself in some thought-provoking discussion of our 'ship, from the stereotypes inherent in the pairing, to the image of H/Gers as a whole.
Help make this a regular, monthy occurance -- mark it down on your calendars!

To offset the darkness of the last fic, I present a fic with a touch of the absurd, ^_^
Ciircee's 'He Ain’t Incoherent, He’s my Brother' is unique because it is from Grawp's perspective. And it's fun because it flips our expectations; what if the lack of communication between Hagrid and his brother was NOT caused by Grawp's low intelligence -- but by a mere lack of a common language? And just how primative ARE the giants?
No one ever said giants can't have an appreciation for opera...
TheTreacleTart's 'Grey' starts out Tom/Ginny in a twisted sort of way. It's a rather disturbing look at how the events of CoS might have effected Ginny emotionally, despite her outward behavior. It's set after the final battle -- so Voldemort's destruction has affected her more deeply than she could ever admit. And while Ginny struggles to escape the hold Tom Riddle has over her, even after death, the rest of the world marks time around her, waiting.
This fic is downright lyrical at times, with its descriptions of Ginny and the trio all locked in a bizarre stasis, all of them struggling to heal. Ginny is the focal point of all of it, and it's interesting to note how her withdrawl effects everyone around her. And, I'll admit -- even though I generally loathe Draco Malfoy in fanon, he's believable here -- still sneering and snobbish, and NOT fully redeemed.
And you all know me -- it ends up H/G in the end, I promise, *lol*
